History of the Lancaster B&B

The house first served as the home to members of the Armstrong Flooring family. Armstrong’s World Headquarters still makes its home in Lancaster. It was built in 1912 In the Dutch Colonial style that was popular then.  The stately house made a handsome residence for the succession of families who lived here until 1987 when it became a bed and breakfast.

For 36 consecutive years, the inn has been a successful bed and breakfast, initially through the caring stewardship of a few different innkeepers under the name of O'Flaherty's Dingeldein House.  Then in 2012 Brad Loman and Keith Jenkins bought the B&B and changed the name to The Lancaster Bed & Breakfast. Most recently, in December 2023, ownership transferred to us, the fifth and current innkeepers, Kim and Jason Smith. We are proud to continue the gracious service to this fine, old house and its always welcome and wonderful guests. We hope you will stay and learn, as we have, why The Lancaster B&B has been so special to so many people.
